Ontario Promotions Coordinator
Reporting:
Reports directly to the Manager of Communications.
Has functioning reporting to the Local Sales Manager and Program Manager.
General Objectives:
- Co-ordinate the planning and execution of station promotions, including ConneCTS segments, on-air and on-location (external) promotion material.
- Assist with public relations activities and production of related materials.
- Liaise with Promotions Coordinators in Alberta.
Responsibilities:
- Co-ordinates writing, producing and scheduling of on-air promotions and station promos, including producing and hosting ConneCTS segments on CTS.
- Co-ordinates, attends as required, both internal and external promotional events/activities and represents the values of the organization in the community.
- Writes press releases and develops contacts with press and members of other media and manages a media database.
- Co-ordinates and executes station contests and promotional agreements.
- Assists in providing content for, and updates to, CTS website and social media.
- Writes scripts for, and co-ordinates, commercial production.
- Represents CTS at various functions as appropriate/required.
- Fosters strong community/viewer/industry relations.
- Implements and co-ordinates a street team of volunteers who assist with community events.
- Co-ordinates the purchase of promotional items used in-house and for external promotions.
- Complete other tasks as assigned by the Manager of Communications.
Qualifications:
- Degree or Diploma in one of the following disciplines (or relevant and proven industry experience);
- Television Production (Broadcasting)
- Journalism
- Public relations
